Memoir- soccer championship game '08

SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP GAME '08

By: Bballorange4814

“Kylie wake up!” My mom said as she tried
to wake me up to get ready for the championship soccer game. I was
very excited. Then I jumped out of bed and went downstairs to eat
some cereal for breakfast. After I ate breakfast I went upstairs to
get ready to play in the most important game of the season. Then at
9:45 a.m I left for the school to get on the bus to go to the
championship game, we were playing at Central middle school at 11:00
a.m.

We were in our maroon uniforms and were ready to come
back and get revenge for them beating us before 2-1. There were only
two reasons of why I was nervous. The first one was we had lost to
central in the regular season. I was also nervous because it was the
championship game.

“The starting line up is as follows: Traci in
goal, Kylie at sweeper, Anna and Taylor you two at fullback
positions, Emily P you're at stopper, Kelsie and Kalee halfbacks,
Alexis and Erica are the wings, Monica at center mid, and Emily B at
striker.” Coach had said right before the game started and she
told us, “ Work hard and come out with a victory.”

Kelsie and Emily P had to straight mark. Emily straight
marked number eight and Kelsie straight marked number seven. Everyone
else stuck to the game and didn't worry just about one person, but
mostly every person.

That game was tough, we played as hard as we could. The
game wasn't close at all. The only time it was was when the score was
2-1.We came out with a great victory! The final score was 4-1.

The Central team thought they were going win because
they had beat us in the regular season. But they were wrong. We
defeated them because we worked as a team and didn't argue with each
other because we were mad. One of the only times that I remember any
of us getting mad was when the Central team's best player came down
the field and scored. But then we just said “ shake it off,
next time they come down the field we'll get the ball out before it
gets to the goal.”

After we won the game all of us were so happy! The
championship game meant a lot to us because we knew that we
accomplished our goal. Time seemed to stop and I don't know why.
Maybe because of that we won. But once the referees blew there
whistles I knew that everything we had worked so hard for came true.
All I saw were happy faces and excitement in our eyes. I could see
that Coach was really glad and our parents were all happy they all
had smiles on their faces. Coach was smiling and she told us that she
was really impressed with how we played.

Our season record was really good we had only lost two
games but beat one of the teams in the playoffs and the other team in
the championship game.

I
learned a very big lesson. That lesson was to never
give up. The reason I learned that was because our team won and that
sense we lost in the regular season we knew that they would be tough
and they were but we never gave up and it showed.

I had a really good season with this team and I had a
lot of fun!

Hello! I am a jewelry designer. I work from 9 a.m - 4 p.m but I do not work on Sundays and I only work the first Saturday of the month. I just opened so I don't have as many consumers as I would eventually like to have. If you want to purchase something and you give me the criteria that you want then I'll see if I have what you want. I am sorry if I don't have your first choice so you mite want to come in with an opportunity cost. My store has goods in it. I do not have a scarce right now I have a surplus. I should have most of what your wants are in the store but if I don't I will order them and get them in and take off some of the price. My demand is  kind of low but I have only had some customers. They all needed the items by the end of the week and the trade-off was that I'd mail the jewelery to the customer but they had to pay shipping and handling. Just like any business I try to make a profit. When I first started out I had a budget of about roughly $1,000 and spent almost all of it trying to get my business up and running. I'm interdependent because it's just me. I would like any person who likes jewelery to be able to come and at least look in my store. I don't really have competition because I thought about where I wouldn't have much so that I would have more consumers. I think people would need my product because if they go to some special event with family members. I am going to make a profit by by selling the product and the cos will be a little more then what it had cost to produce it. I have a monopoly business because I'm the only jewelery seller in the town. My incentives are that if you buy any items all together over $200 than i will give an item of your choice. That was my business plan!
